This blog is a fresh start looking at migrating from on-site hosted applications to cloud hosting of applications. I have been at Sun Microsystems (13 years), Texas A&M University – Central Information Services (4 years), Rice University – Central IT (1 year), Cypress Cardiology/Cypress ECG (2 years), and Oracle (6 years). During these periods I have had the opportunity to play with many technologies and architectures. Computing has changed over the last two and a half decades from central computing to client server to cloud hosting.
